Maitland Heritage Walk
Take a step back in time and explore Maitland's heritage past, starting at  Maitland Railway Station wander past buildings dating back to the mid 1800s. The walk will take you past an array heritage buildings including Grossman House, St. Mary's Church, Maitland post office and many more.

Morpeth

During the 1830s and 1840s Morpeth became the Hunter Valley’s major port, it was at this time a number of major buildings, such as St. James’ Church and Taylor’s Bond Stores were constructed. The town flourished and by 1865 river trade was booming, leading to more significant buildings being built. The Morpeth Heritage Walk takes you to 35 of these sites as you uncover the spirit of Morpeth, its cobbled streets and friendly locals.

East Maitland Heritage Walk
The East Maitland Heritage walk includes sites like Maitland Gaol, East Maitland Court House, Stockade Hill and Glebe Cemetery. Officially proclaimed in 1833 East Maitland's spacious streets and heritage buildings are a must see.

Maitland's Cathedral Precinct including Church, Hunter and High Streets, is a place of outstanding cultural significance because of historic, religious and educational connections with Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, Methodist and Congregational Church heritage.
