Built in 1835 by James Campbell, this store was, in it’s heyday “The Place To Shop” in the Hunter Valley. People travelled by steamship, horse & cart, walked or rode to shop at Campbell’s Store.
Now over 170 years later, nothing has changed!
Restored to its original splendour, retrace the history of Morpeth’s once bustling river port and early township by viewing the photographic exhibition around the original walls.

Wander at your leisure through thirteen individual speciality gift shops, where you may select work from 596 of Australia’s most talented crafts people – all under the one roof.
Smell the wafting aroma of freshly baked fudge, cuddle an old fashioned teddy bear.
Play with wooden toys, try on an Akubra hat.
Listen to scores of musicals, surround yourself with forest of trees and a room full of Christmas ornaments.

Taste 13 varieties of honey and gourmet foods from all over Australia.
View original investment art works by local and renown Australian traditional landscape & wildlife artists. Adorn yourself with handmade jewellery & warm up with a mohair scarf. Try 13 varieties of home style cordials, including Ginger Beer – brewed, bottled and labelled whilst you watch.
Relax in the Servant’s Quarters Tearoom, with a Devonshire tea, made with real cream, fruity jam and leaf tea or Vittoria Coffee.
