Hunter Valley Grammar School
Hunter Valley Grammar School is a coeducational, non-denominational, Preschool to Year 12 school situated near Maitland in the Hunter Valley.
We believe that it is important to recognise the distinct phases that our students pass through and the School's organisation is a reflection of that.
The over all preschool to senior school structure of the School has resulted in a warm and family-style atmosphere, providing a smooth transition between infants, primary and high school.
The School rests on a 32 acre, lightly wooded campus offering the best facilities in the sporting, music and cultural arenas. These premier educational facilities coupled with the calming gardens and leisure areas enable Hunter Valley Grammar School to offer the best educational experience for your child at any age. The school roll is approximately 950 students. Students are drawn from a wide catchment which includes: Maitland, Newcastle, Singleton, Cessnock, Pokolbin, Williamtown, Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens, Port Stephens and Lake Macquarie areas.
We believe that education is best achieved in a caring, balanced and values-based environment that promotes a passion for life and learning. Our core School values are respect, integrity, responsibility, compassion, citizenship and courage. Our mission is achieved by offering high quality academic programs in all subject areas with an extensive curriculum choice available across all key learning areas.
Hunter Valley Grammar School celebrated it 20th year in 2009. Today the school is widely regarded as one of the region's premier schools and aims to be one of the most outstanding independent schools in NSW and across Australia.
