   Deathtrap holds the record for the longest running comedy-thriller on Broadway and is sure to please Maitland Repertory audiences.
   In Deathtrap, writer Ira Levin has taken the basic components of thrillers and horror stories - murder, deceit, innocent dialogue with hidden sinister meanings, plot reversals, unexpected turns of events, and more - and twisted and rearranged the pieces again and again.
   

2. Maitland Repertory Reamus Youth Theatre Presents - Much Ado About Nothing

   

   Date: 26 July - 10 August 2013

   Location: Maitland

   In this comedy about two pairs of lovers the first couple, Benedick and Beatrice, are engaged in a very "merry war"; they are both very glib and proclaim their scorn for love, marriage, and each other. In contrast the second couple, Claudio and Hero, are sweet young people who are rendered practically speechless by their love for one another.

4. Maitland Junior Repertory Theatre Presents - The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

   

   Date: 13 September - 6 October 2013

   Location: Maitland

   This non-musical version of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz celebrates the importance of mind and heart, courage in facing what is feared, the need to dream, to dare, to ride out storms, the joys of loving, laughing, crying and being lost and found. This version is faithful to the original book.

5. Opera in the Vineyards @ Wyndham Estate

   2013 heralds the 18th year of this much loved annual celebration of food, wine and opera, held at the historic Wyndham Estate Winery in the beautiful Hunter Valley. Passionate and romantic, opera touches the heart and stirs the emotions.
