Maitland, Hunter Valley is the home to many exciting events. Feasts of grandeur, movement, music and festivals of frivolity please visitors of all ages and provide many highlights throughout Maitland’s calendar.

  1. Maitland Regional Art Gallery presents Greta Migrant Camp: Displaced - Vivienne Dadour and Gail Burrows

    The Greta Migrant camp, as it became known, is a site just north of Maitland.  Between the years 1949-1960 this camp became the venue for a massive immigration program.

    The Richmond Vale Railway Museum is a volunteer non profit organization, formed in 1979 with the aim of preserving the Railway and Mining Heritage of J&A Brown and the Hunter Valley.

    The Hunter Wetland’s canoe trail extends over 2kms and provides visitors with a wonderful opportunity to explore.

  4. Family Fun Fest - Richmond Vale Railway Museum
